There really aren't too many big vloggers anymore that just talk about their own life. Most of the time they're doing a funny video in the vlog format.

......Um... Yeah there are... They may also do other types of videos, but most of them still vlog their life......
 
I believe a vlog is a VIDEO Blog. hence the name vlog right? Which means it can be anything you want it to be. some people vlog or blog their opinions about certain issues or pop culture happenings. Other people blog or vlog about what they ate on a particular day. While others do vlog or blog about what went on in their day and how they felt about it. I dont think you can confine a vlog to just recording yourself doing something during the day.

Yeah this is how I see it. As far as i'm concerned a vlog is you recording yourself doing anything in front of a video camera.

You don't have to be "sitting" to vlog, and a vlog "is just you recording your self" is that not what you said? In which case a huge production such as The Hobbit or something could some how also fit into the vlog category?

No i didn't say it was just you recording yourself. i said it's recording yourself in front of a video camera. Which is literally the definition of vlog "a video blog"

their saying when theirs someone infront of the camera talking. theres 2 types where you record your daily life or giving your thoughts on something you like / dislike etc. in your own house.

to me i feel uncomfortable talking to my self with a camera in my face. in public
