Vlogging

I've Got It
Is it customary to write a script for your vlogs before you record? Or do people usually wing it?

It all depends on personal preferences. In my opinion people can get too attached to their scripts and therefore the quality can drop a little bit due to it, but derping around due to the fact you don't know anything useful to say isn't good either. I think you need to have a nice balance inbetween.

I'm trying to get a mix of the two. A script of general points i want to cover and then just sort of talk about these points in anyway i want.

I have only done one but I had bullet points and kind of went off of that but it wasnt totally scripted. I think it turned out pretty good but i am prepping for my second video and wondered if I should script it totally.

I wouldn't say that. It totally depends on the Vlog. Just take the latest Vlog of the vlogbrothers as an example (
The Golden Gate Bridge Didn't Collapse!!). I am more than sure Hank wrote at least some notes for that and still it's a great vlog.

Yeah, I only write down the topic I want to talk about, and wing everything in the video. I'm definitely thinking about scripting a little more this time around. Just to see if it makes my videos better.
