Sub For Sub?

Hey guys. So i'm apart of another Youtube forum geared towards beauty bloggers. On there I posted a thread asking about weather or not to use personal social media for youtube. In there I mentioned something about sub for sub and got some feed back.

So it got me thinking, what are your views on sub for sub? Do you post sub for sub comments? If not, how do you react when you get them?

" Oh that's ok. This isn't my first time doing a channel so i've learned from the whole sub for sub. I rather have people sub to me because they like my content not because I subbed to them. Also then you end up with a lot of subs and lower view count on videos. I personally would rather have 100 subs and 500 views on a video than 500 subs and 100 views. I interact with people from different genres of youtube so if i sub to a guy who has a gaming or comedy channel, I wouldn't want him to sub to me knowing good as well he does not care about make up lol and probably won't watch my videos. I'm not against subscribing to people who subscribe to me at all. I check out EVERYONE'S channel, but I don't want it to be a thing where you're just subbing to me so i'll sub for you and you won't even watch my videos and same for me I want to sub to you because I like your content not feel obligated to sub to you so you'll sub to me and I'm not even interested in your content. So yea I agree I think supporting each other and making friends is great but you should be genuinely interested in what the person is uploading which a lot of the people who have asked me to sub for sub are not. Honestly just subbing to me or commenting will have me check out your channel anyway and I typically end up subscribing so people really don't even need to ask me

Fair enough lol! I think you get it in the beauty community more. Esp. with younger girls (or older women preying on younger channels I say that in the most non pedophile way possible lol )
 
It is only good if you have 0-10 subscribers that way you can get a few sub's but after that that is pointless. I wouldn't do it unless you have less then 10 subs because then it will give you few sub's to get started.

Nope.....nope...there's no point; all you're getting is inactive subscribers who are never going to watch your videos. It's better to earn subscribers properly and you'll have an actual fanbase who watch and comment on your videos :)
