I really appreciate it :) Honestly I don't know why I got so down about it. I feel silly now but I guess it was just annoying. As someone who's new and with a low sub count people message me all the time for stuff like that.

Agreed it's kind of off putting when you know yourself that your content is good and when you get the subs it's like "Ooh wow thank you!" and when one of them leaves you think.. "what did I do wrong?" Just got to remember that there's always somebody who will hate what you do and always like what you do. :)
 
I didn't even know what sub4sub was until I received one of those comments along the lines of "Great vid, I subbed, please check out my channel, help me get to 1k subs..." And I did check out her channel and even left a nice comment about her content to return the favor, but then I saw that she was indeed close to 1k subs but the views didn't match. So I bet she got all those (dead) subs by leaving these kinds of comments. What is the value in that? On the one hand you have many subs, but on the other you can never be happy about it because you cheated.
 
Think about it as stock price...it goes up, but also goes down. I lose subscribers everyday, but I also gain. That's just how it is, but you have to look at it over time and see how things perform. Don't get upset if someone unsubscribes, it happens to everyone....just keep on trucking along and others will subscribe. You have your occasional viewers and if they see something they don't like, they'll unsub. BUT, you'll also get your dedicated fan base who will never unsubscribe, so don't worry about it! It all falls into place :)
 
Never understood sub4sub since like others said, they just turn into inactive subs. But, don't fret over losing any. Just cuz they unsub doesn't mean they're not gonna watch anymore!
 
Nope, sub4sub isn't a sub. There is no point in having 1000 inactive subs when you can have 10 active, it looks better with 1000 subs, until one look at the number of views.
 
lol i lost 72 subs in one day a couple of weeks ago but i gained a whole lot more so it really doesnt matter. Accounts are always being closed etc so you just gotta roll with it.
 
I had something similar last week where I was at 32 subscribers, and the next day when I logged back on I had 31, it is dis-heartening yes and it does put me down a bit but im sure they had a good reason to unsubscribe, and if that is one less then its nice to know its not an epty subscriber who just subscribed for the lols (the reason I had to create a new channel)
