How do you prepare videos?

Rough script then completely improvise :P And i set up my iPhone record of that with a tripod and then edit on iMovie then boom done :P

The greatest part of videos I make (vBLogs) follow this workflow:
  1. Watch some videos on the YT platform
  2. find one that makes me smile/cry/feel better for some reason
  3. write on my notebook something that came up to my mind watching
  4. put it on "repeat"
  5. When I have time: video-record my thought ^_^

Matters,If it's live action it's either story boarded or scripted then edited. If it's gameplay I have a plan of what I am going to do if it's solo or if it's with someone i'll discuss it with them prior to the video to make a plan about what we will do during the episode or session. That way we are kept busy and the gameplay if full of action. Then of course edited and uploaded.

So I'd like to know how different people prepare there videos

I come up with an idea and usually just record it and improvise.
But sometimes when I have a big plan (such as my next video) I will story board it to get everything organised and clear up what I want it to do.

What do you guys do? x
I have a different channel then yours.

I 'make' some music first, and then I build the video around the music. I try to improvise things when I'm creating the video.

My videos are pretty long winded affairs. For me it all starts off with building something out of LEGO which can take between a week and several months depending on the complexity. During the building process I tend to think about what kind of video I'd like to make. My video production phase tends to start with the audio, which can by either scripted text or music. If it's scripted text then from that I can deduce the type and length of footage I will need. And the same pretty much holds true for music. Recently I have been thinking about turning this process upside-down and starting with editing the footage and then do a 'live' commentary of that footage. The benefit in doing this for me is that it becomes easier for me to sound natural when doing an unscripted commentary. And this process also saves a lot of time. Which is important because at the moment I have a lot more ideas for videos than i have time to make them.

Hehe, the video editing is nothing thrilling, I don't really like that. The parts I like the most are the actual recording and the publishing and see the reaction. Must tedious is editing the music, since I have to hear myselve many times. if the result is successful i'm happy, and if it's bad then I'm sad.

I tend to do heck load of research, then storyboard, then draw out graphics, film, film again if the first one didn't out well. Guess it's a lengthy process but its gotta be so for the kind of videos I do
