How do you prepare videos?

our thought process? my brother best friend and i get together..we start talking...we say or do something completely random that we find hilarious....turn on our camera and try to re do it!

Editing music I'm ok with even hearing work over and over again. I use puppets in my videos and this past weekend I got the wild hair to record the dialog for them first and THEN record the performance. So after editing the audio tweaking the sound effects etc. I copied the flattened file to my iPhone and put it on "repeat" as I hit record on the camera and set myself in position. Side note: the skits I do with my puppets is 12 year old boy humor... So I got to hear that lame joke probably a dozen times BEFORE I got to do the performance... UGH. Now I need to incorporate the audio in the video so I'll get to hear it YET AGAIN!
 
Of all the videos I do there is only one I know beforehand. And those are my monthly cars and coffee videos. My vlogging happens whenever I feel like talking or sharing something, which is about once a week.
