Youtube Gaming

I kind of liked it, to be honest, but I absolutely agree with @PseudExon about how it only promotes bigger channels.
Also, my connexion doesn't allow me to stream with decent quality, so I guess I won't be using it for a bit xD

What is your connection? I have 2.5mbps down and can watch stream smoothly on 360p than Twitch.

Is there any way to get onto it if your main channel isn't gaming based? Or does every video in your channel have to be under the gaming category?

Well, as for me, my channel barely appears on the search. My reviews don't even appear on the first page like on regular yt.

I love the new YouTube gaming layout! Looking forward to it, especially since I always use Hangouts for my Roblox live streams.

Streamed all morning, had around a 100 people watching (this was me just testing the stream and people joining somehow). It seems like to monetize the stream you have to wait for it to upload, the regular stream doesnt have ads while you're streaming.

I was looking at this and it seems like streaming could be an easier way to gain subscribers. I saw some small channels streaming with like 50 people watching. But...its kinda hard to figure out why some small channels are ranking high on the live page while others are not. It looks like its based kinda on how many people are watching, but some channels are ranking low yet having a high number of watchers.

People are mostly concerned about copyright strikes. At this point it's the major turn-off for most of potential streamers. I like how it looks from a viewer's perspective tho - larger player, larger thumbnails, search constrained to gaming content etc.
