Your YouTube Setup. :D

OK, heres some of it......

My Server.......

Mac Mini Server
2.6GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM
2x 1TB HDDs
Intel HD 400 Grapgics 1GB

My mobile, and general web surfing/email checking system is:

2013 MacBook Air 11"
1.7GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 3.3GHz
8GB 1600MHz LPDDR3 SDRAM
256GB PCIe Flash Storage
Intel HD Graphics 1GB

When it comes to my main workhorse/editing system, I turn to my bigger system:

2013 MacBook Pro Retina 15"
2.6GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 3.8GHz
1TB PCIe-based Flash Storage
16GB of 1600MHz DDR3L RAM
Intel Iris Pro Graphics
NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M with 2GB of GDDR5 memory and automatic graphics switching

For Storage I have:

2TB Apple Time Capsule - used as my router and Backups for all above systems.
2TB My Passport USB3.0 Drive - for general backups etc
2TB My Passport USB3.0 Drive - for my work files
Drobo 5D - currently has 3x3TB disks in RAID5. Two bays free for future expansion - use this as my main editing scratch disk and storage for Final Cut.

Recording stuff:

Canon 70D DSLR with 18-135mm STM Lens
A couple of light boxes on stands
A couple of different mics - but my main used one is the Zoom H1 (currently looking to buy a Rode Lavalier Mic.)
3x GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition cameras - I love these things. Looking to pick up one more unit shortly ;) Tons, and I mean TONS, of accessories for these.

Future stuff:

Just placed an order for a DJI Phantom H3-3D Quadcopter to mount a GoPro into and get some ariel footage.
Looking to replace the Drobo 5D with a 20TB Lacie 5Big ThunderBolt 2 drive - this one will need a ton of saving up for!! Its not yet released but should be coming shortly....

There's no way I'm taking a picture of my ghetto-a** setup. (I haven't had the space or time to get anything properly set-up yet so it's very Macgyver.)

But I use a Canon Vixia RF42 for video, a ZOOM H1 for sound, and a 12 dollar clip lamp from Wal-Mart for lighting.
My editing setup is an Intel i5 4570 @3.2GHz, 8Gb of RAM, 1TB HDD and 128GB SSD, and an AMD Radeon HD 7800

Nice to see you have a drobo

Nice to see you have a drobo

Im actually thinking of selling it (I have a buyer lined up) as I want to buy the Lacie 5Big ThunderBolt 2 unit instead. Its MUCH faster. I want the 20TB version ideally, to future proof, but it all depends on how much it is as the unit hasn't been released just yet.......

Allright, now i am going to drop the overall stats of all your computers just by posting mine.

The machine runs under name Toaster, why, well, let's see the specs-

CPU: AMD X2 64 4200++
GPU: ATi Radeon 4650HD 1GB
RAM : 2GB DDR2 kinstong 1600mHz
Motherboard : MSI, no idea what one. But, it's bent.
HDD: 500GB samsung.
Mic : Trust starzz

AAAnd i use Fraps for recording and POWERdirector ( Yes, i do have the POWER, thank you very much, ) for rendering purposes.

I haven't yet taken a pic of it, and i had it for six years now, so, no pic.

Not like this my friend.
Let me jsut mention - It runs on VISTA. And hasn't been reinstalled since the day i slapped a new HDD in it, so that makes it 5 years.
The PSU is new, because the old one burned.
Not not, some spark stuff. I mean, proper, bright, orange fire. I had to use my fire extinguisher to get it under control. Oh and in the fire, the old graphic card MELTED. Like full-on meltdown mode. To this day, i still have the wall scorched.

But it just shows how tough this thing is, i slapped a old GPU, new PSU, and it steadily works like it always had.. Like crap.

Why don't you just buy a new PC. I know you will probably say it's too expensive but computers are always coming down in price and you are going to have it for a long time.

i have an iMac, 21 inch.
8gb ram
2.9 ghz intel core i5
but honestly, what you always need to upgrade first is yourself and your skill at making videos and making the most of what you have
