You upload a video, it has one small editing error....

If it's a little text thing and I've uploaded it at a crucial time then I'd just fix the text by annotating over it with a correction. If it's me forgetting to cut out the end of the video where I've stopped talking and am switching off the camera etc, then I just cut it in YouTube's video editor.

If it's something bigger/less correctable than those, I'd likely have to reupload, though it's usually longer for me than just reuploading since I have a bad habit of not saving/leaving open my premiere pro files after I'm done, aka I have to start editing from scratch.

Let it go?
Haha, I wish I could :hot:
I uploaded my last video as scheduled and then noticed a black line at the bottom that probably no one but me would've noticed. But it bugged me so much that I decided to re-upload, so I set the flawed video to private -- at least I thought I did. I actually set it to publish (which was then a day too early) and only noticed 10 minutes later when a few people had already watched it. :facepalm2: So basically, by deciding to fix my mistake I made another mistake that made everything worse. :roflmao2:

I think this is not so good approach as you see you missed already some views :(

Yeah, I re-upped, this debate is interesting though my channel is small and new and I caught the mistake right away, plus my editing software autosaves projects so it was maybe 20 min before the new video was up. I should pay more attention before I upload but I over-edited that video (from 30 min cut down to 12 with so many jump cuts... so many) that by the end I got complacent. Lesson learned for sure.

Best practice is to upload private, Watch it one more time, then if there IS an issue edit and reload. No one will wonder why you uploaded twice. oooor just watch it 2-3 times before up loading =P

I think this has happened to most of us at least once..,.... it's hard to take down once the views start rolling in, I would take it down if it hasn't accumulated that many views and re upload.... but if it's a more major editing error, take it down regardless and re upload.... Some of those small errors some people don't even notice, and if there are a lot of views already, I wouldn't worry about it!

mannnnn i cant tell you how many times i have done this. Like audio being off and such. If its that major i will go back and fix it. but if its something small like a fade to black transition i wont change it
