Why do I struggle for views so much and how can I fix it?

Something's really frustrating me, I'm putting out good content yet I get next to NO views on my videos?.. I put a lot of effort into them and they are top quality, I also make sure I have good descriptive tags, good title's and descriptions and good thumbnails to make my channel look more professional.

There's two things you need to realize about YouTube.

1. Everyone and their dog is doing game videos these days. You are simply one of thousands of people playing games while talking so you're essentially fighting for attention with every single video covering the same game as you.

2. Building a YouTube channel takes time and a LOT of patience. Having just a couple of views without major promotion of the video is pretty normal at first. As your subs grow so do your average views. And as your average views grow so does your sub count. And so on and so forth.

Ok, well I really don't think sitting and waiting for magic to happen is the right attitude lol. It's been said before "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

You have to put yourself out there, be ruthless and get views if you want to grow. Others have done it, so can you. This reminds me of everyone talking about how a 70/30 deal is the best thing out there when people have 98/2 or higher.
 
Noooo my bad haha! I meant Ima keep doing what I'm doing and doing everything I can to improve and get myself exposed xD my bad! I just meant overtime I should get more people watching my content xD thanks for input man!
 
I know how you feel man. I have about 400+ subscribers and get barely any views on my videos. But I'll try taking some people's advice and try promoting myself more.
 
Find something you like doing and be the best at it. Some people think that you're supposed to pick a popular game and then let the fame of that sweep you away into youtube stardom! In reality, some of these channels play games they want to play, become the all time best at it, and actually end up getting the game popular through themselves and not via the game.

I can't stress it enough though. Be the best. It may not feel like it's paying off at first, but when it does, it really does. Have a consistent style and quality to your videos.

You don't need to constantly do 1 video game if you don't want to. You can do multiple games, just make sure that your quality is out standing.

I am serious too, if you don't half-a** you should be good. Think about it. Look at the biggest LPer out there, you don't need to copy his style, actually, no, never do it. But if he is the best out there, he/she has to have some type of quality that puts them at the top. Personality, editing, presentation. Find something that you can perfect and do it.
 
The big thing is to work on finding out who you are to the viewer and playing that angle up. You are your unique selling point (USP) in any kind of video. If you don't know how to show why to watch you, you'll have trouble growing.
