SomeGuyDude
Just some guy, dude.
Motivation, without a doubt. EVERYTHING else is tied in with your motivation. Spending the time to edit, keeping a schedule, all of that stuff is dirt simple if you're motivated to do it.
When you're new, motivation is hard because you're not getting much notice. It's hard to say "I should get some recording done" or "I need to edit these videos" when you look at your page and see 10 subs and 0 views on them. If we all had 5 million subs and every video got bombarded with comments and we had all this fan mail every video would be a celebration of community. When you're throwing a creation that took you hours, days, maybe even weeks of planning and execution into the aether, the question of "why should I bother with that when I could do something else?" rings true.
I know the ready answer is "I make videos because I enjoy making videos!" but... it's not true. If anyone on here truly liked making videos sheerly for the self satisfaction of it and didn't care at all about publicity, we wouldn't be putting them on YouTube. And we definitely wouldn't be on here.
