What Makes People Subscribe?

Hi all,

I know that this has been addressed in some ways. My question is this though: What would encourage people to subscribe? I'm new and I'm being patient I promise. I'm wondering though because I do get some good views, I seem to get some good comments but what would then switch people to thinking "I want to see her videos regularly?"
People say quality. It's true that I don't have the best equipment but I always make sure things are lit properly etc. I don't think thats the only thing.
Thoughts?
 
People will subscribe to your channel if they ''like'' your video's and want more. Yeah, people really don't subscribe if you make s****y video's.

In your case, maybe make your content more appealing to men also? for a wider viewer base, also a banner reflecting your channel theme and thumbnails might help!

Post an annotation in the beginning like "Subscribe if you like this video", some people will click subscribe if they like the content. How's your audience retention for your videos? If it's higher than 50%, that means that people liked your content.

Well, it's still a work on progress of course. I've been mentioned I a couple of videos as being funny. Not massive channels but still so wonderful. I did get a few subscribers from that.[DOUBLEPOST=1381799902,1381799794][/DOUBLEPOST]

Seems people are watching my whole videos which I see as a good thing. It means they like to stay until the end. Maybe I'm not as patient as I like to think I am :)
 
Something you might want to change is currently, when people click on your channel, they don't see your videos - they see your recent activity (comments, uploads, likes etc)

IMO, it's better to get rid of that and have your videos on your channel page (recent upload list, popular upload list, playlists etc)


People usually sub if they like several of your videos and they see that you upload regularly.

The best thing is to keep making videos, to build up your channel and have an annotation to subscribe at the beginning. . People will subscribe if you post consistently interesting content to them.
