What editing software do you guys use?

I know theres a whole lot out there, but im trying to find one that can do sinmple editing and adding sound effects as well as picture overlay, zooming, and different text overlay transitions. Also where do you guys get your video tracks from?
 
Adobe Premiere. The best imo, but its pretty costly. If you want cheap, simple, but still very powerful editing softerware then I would suggest checking out Cyber Link PowerDirector. I used it for the first 3-4 months of my channel
 
I use adobe premiere elements 12 it cost me like $60 and it came with adobe photoshop elements 12. Basically a stripped down version of the fancy Adobe Premiere.
But I'm taking a Photoshop class next semester and I'm thinking of buying the adobe creative suite. It is only $20 a month for college students and you get Adobe Premier Pro, Photoshop and a whole bunch of other professional software. The Adobe sutie is what PewDiePie and other big YouTubers use.
I also have experience with final Cut 7 and Final Cut X which are great but they cost like $200 and you have to have a mac. In the past I used Windows Movie Maker, which is decent for simple videos you can do text overlay, voice-overs, transitions and more. It is free on any windows computer but I don't like the Windows Live movie maker, the regular Windows Movie Maker is wayy better. If you have a Mac imovie is built in and it is just like Final Cut X except you can't do as much and it doesn't have advanced features.
 
I use Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 and Avid Media Composter, I'd suggest the first one, as it is imo the best in terms of simplicity and power
