Tired of Monetization Under Review, time to join a MCN?

I think their objective is more to build up the network fast and then sell it to another company. Either that or it's to hope channels will stay with them in future after just trying them out.

Even with additional sales (which will be unlikely for most channels given the size of their sales team) they are unlikely to profit on the vast majority of these deals in the short run (though it could be hugely profitable for them were they to get acquired in the next 6-12 months).[DOUBLEPOST=1456868867,1456868819][/DOUBLEPOST]
No I mean literally 5-6 digit figures. As in;
5 figures = $10,000+
6 figures = $100,000+[DOUBLEPOST=1456869078][/DOUBLEPOST]
As I said, the likelihood is they're building up the network as fast as possible so they can sell it off.

In the last year they've gone from 3.5B monthly views to approx. 9B monthly views, going off the averages of past acquisitions, that extra 5.5B is worth a potential $220M - $550M.
Interesting Shane. I am with Miquos right now ;) , lets see how is going.

I hope only the content is similar, because that channel is definitely into some shady stuff. 99% of the comments don't make any sense and are clearly written by bots, there are even videos that have almost identical number of views and same upvotes/downvotes, as well as comments lol. Can't link stuff here, but I'm surprised to see YouTube not reacting to most obvious botting cases, which makes me think they're OK with it for whatever reason?
Hey mate, i can't reply to PM yet. Yes, all the info is correct! Good luck

What would happen to the creators contracts if bbtv did sell it off. The revenue split would become null and void and the buyer would have control over the split?

Unlikely, usually the contracts would remain the same. Nearly all MCN contracts have a clause to say they can assign the contract to another party.
But most likely the contract would still be with BBTV but BBTV would just be owned by someone else (they already have multiple owners anyway such as RTL Group who has the majority stake.)

i always get suspicious about 100% rev-share. It is possible indeed with self generated ads from their end and not adsense but... most of the times (and i am not saying this is the case), 100% means the cpm is capped, so for example, you will get 100% of the revenue up to a $5 cpm, above that you will get 60%. This used to happen before a couple of years ago and i personally haven't seen that practice, apart from one other shady network that tried to sneak this without properly inform the new partners that were coming attracted by the 100% rev share.....

Bottom line, ready the all contract.... just to make sure :)

I rarely reply to people on this site, but this comment is just ignorant. Any established network will offer partners a true 100% with no "CPM cap" if they have a large enough channel and are pulling 10+ million views lol.

im am just stating wht i have found, and what i said is a possibility thus my recommendation of reading the contract.

Anyway, i am getting a better RPM / eCPM with Miquos, and a lot of more monetized views. I have 90% revshare but making more money than when i was with Adsense.
