Tired of Monetization Under Review, time to join a MCN?

Thanks! BBTV sent me an offer. 100% revshare and a "gift" of 2400$, but 1 year lock. Anyway i linked with Miquos, i prefer to stay "free" for now and see how things advance...

If it was a true 100% share (might be in the contract they worded it in a shady way so that they actually get a cut of your adsense revenue) and with that kind of signup bonus, I would have seriously considered it given the offers I received in the past for my channel.

I've been contacted a couple of times by BBTV actually but never replied, might answer back to see what they come up with :cigar:

I'd say it was truly 100%, BBTV have gone crazy over the last year or so, they will pay alot more than that to sign you into a year/ multi-year contract.
If you have a large channel (5-10M views a month+) you could likely negotiate to 100% & a 5-6 future sign-on bonus.

Uhmm, that sounds interesting, you meant 5-6k dollars for each sign-on bonus? How much do you think a channel in the kids niche with 15-20 millions view per month could ask for?

By the way, I really don't get how they could be profitable giving 100% rev share and a x,xxx sign-on bonus. I understand that having channels with tons of views and subscribers give them more credibility (easier to impress smaller youtubers into subscribing the partnership and something to show to advertisers - I'm sure they have their own sales team), but compared to other big networks it seems way too easy to get a 100% share and a substantial bonus.

So, either the other networks are making tons of money, or BBTV has money to throw away :crown:

The only way to be profitable giving 100% rev share is adding extra ads to what you already get with adsense (my guess..)

I think their objective is more to build up the network fast and then sell it to another company. Either that or it's to hope channels will stay with them in future after just trying them out.

Even with additional sales (which will be unlikely for most channels given the size of their sales team) they are unlikely to profit on the vast majority of these deals in the short run (though it could be hugely profitable for them were they to get acquired in the next 6-12 months).[DOUBLEPOST=1456868867,1456868819][/DOUBLEPOST]

No I mean literally 5-6 digit figures. As in;
5 figures = $10,000+
6 figures = $100,000+[DOUBLEPOST=1456869078][/DOUBLEPOST]

As I said, the likelihood is they're building up the network as fast as possible so they can sell it off.

In the last year they've gone from 3.5B monthly views to approx. 9B monthly views, going off the averages of past acquisitions, that extra 5.5B is worth a potential $220M - $550M.
