Tips for Patreon?

Gods of Odds

Loving YTtalk
I've just started Patreon and I'm just wondering if anyone has any tips for me on how to get started and to get my first few patrons? I am currently quite a small YouTuber and I have plans for a lot of lore series on YouTube that haven't been done yet so I'm hoping to grow. If it helps then here is my Patreon page is also Gods of Odds.

I think Patreon works only, if you have a big fanbase.

How many small channels are you (or your friends) donating money to?
If not, why?

You have 120 subs and about 30 views per video. If you're lucky, you get 10 likes per video (it's an amazing view/like ratio btw). It's probably very hard to get those few people donate money.
On another hand, you might alienate a bunch of people who see you asking for money.

Go check out big channels and their patreon page. Now calculate the rough % of how many subs are patreons. Not that many.

i looked at setting up a patreon, but decided it was pretty pointless to do early on, i might set one up when i am 20k+ you will be very very lucky to get one person donating per thousand subs

I know, I'm more doing it for future as I have a lot of hopes in a few new lore series that I'm starting. I just thought it is something nice to have for the future also regarding the likes, thanks.

That's a bit of an exaggeration. I support Youtubers on Patreon; one has 840 subscribers and 13 Patreon supporters, the other 1,600 subscribers and 15 supporters.

I don't think it will work with a channel of your size. I mostly see succes Patreon campagnes from channels with 10k+ subs.

I would start by ensuring people can actually find your content. Right now, the link to your channel doesn't work. Make sure you've set that up properly in your personal settings.

your right, obviously two examples proves the average

[sarcasm off]

boogie has 3,410,888 subs and has 306 patrons. or one patron for every 11,147 subs. my point being we can all just pluck a random channel to prove a figure but its pointless

For everyone's point, like I said I just want it ready for the future just in case if my YouTube channel does grow. Regarding the channel link on here, I know about that and for some reason no matter what I do it decides not to work but if people aren't stupid then it should be obvious what my channel is called. And I have seen a YouTuber with around 22,000 subscribers who earns 1000s of dollars on Patreon so like everyone is saying yes it is pointless to keep getting examples as it can go on forever.

can i ask you , why exactly you feel the need of a patron..? just to quit your everyday job to become a youtube i guess.. well first get the 100k subs then,if the fan base is strong and care about you, they will donate.. i believe the biggest patron base is the team four star s one, which the fan base is big and the guys can t monetize so everything works, but it s a case of exception .. 20k members if I'm not wrong, which is nothing compered to what would they earn if the ads on their video was allowed.. but better than nothing imho
