Tags experiment

Was it the same video? Uploaded around/at the same time? Same title, same description, same thumbnail? Any marketing done at all? (If so, the same exact marketing?) If not, those, and other variables, could be the reasons for the differences. It could be worth it to duplicate the experiment a few times, see what happens.

It could be that the tags weren't that great? My theory: If YT can only go by the title "How to bake a cake", the video might rank well for that phrase, but if instead you use the tags "How to", "bake", "cake", it won't rank for these terms because they are too broad (too much competition).

I don't think 100 views difference is enough to say no tags is better. maybe someone shared it and it got more views just because.[DOUBLEPOST=1439735974,1439735510][/DOUBLEPOST]

You have probably right something must be wrong with my tags.

I open toys on my channel and always have tags like if I unboxing Kinder Surprise. Surprise eggs, surprise egg, kinder surprise, unboxing toys, unboxing, my channel name, toy, chocolate surprise eggs, kinder eggs, toy surprise, egg, eggs, kinder surprise egg,

Are these good or bad?[DOUBLEPOST=1439738920,1439738553][/DOUBLEPOST]
tagging won't be the only factor to get views. Title, description and many other factors will interfere. So you need to give us more information like @SabrinaKom mentioned,

If you like you can check out my channel and see what you think?I would really appreciate that!

Yeah it'd be awesome if somebody could make a thread on tag examples, where they take a video and breakdown which tags would work well and which wouldn't.

Tags a lot of times end up feeling like they do nothing.
