STOPPING VLOGGING

Ok so I've decided to stop Vlogging altogether.

There seems to be so many really good Vloggers out there already and I don't want to become just another vlogging channel!

Instead I'm going to focus on creating quality stand-alone videos, but all under the same theme of my challenges.

So what are your thoughts on vlogging?
Has it become saturated or are there still opportunities for new unknown vloggers?
 
I think you need to know that people want to see your daily vlogs like there needs to be something interesting about you they know you for already to make seeing your daily life interesting to them. UNLESS you are just so naturally unique/weird/funny that your life just reeeally stands out or you're great and improvising humorous things but if your life is pretty average, there's no reason to vlog until you do something above average to make people curious to see your average life.
 
I remember the only times I actually stuck to daily vlogging was when my life dived into a completely unexpected territory (similar to what @Symph said above). Like when I went to Christian camp (dear lord why), or when I moved out with my friends during the winter break.

To me it depends on who the person is, some are entertaining and some just aren't.

and theres so many cooking channels theres so many gaming channels theres so many art channels theres so many music channels theres so many prank channels
there's so many of everything
just do it if you want to do it :)

personally i just like vlogging so ill keep at it


(are we talking vlogging or daily vlogging?) confused :(

Completely agree. Maybe one day I'll start vlogging again but I think you need to do something big that makes people interested in you first.

Don't get me wrong I was enjoying vlogging. I just think there's so many well established vloggers out there now (all with their own niches) that it'd be difficult to break into that market just by vlogging alone.

Yeah, do something that's creative and noteworthy and gain a little following first, and once you have a nice little handful of people following you who are interested in you because of it, then go back to blogging i'm sending this from my phone so it has I'm sure some wrong words and stuff
 
In the process of moving this thread to YouTube Chat, Gossip & Help, my little brother ran into my room and sprayed me in the eye with some kind of sprayable hand sanitizer. So yeah... I'm in pain right now. :confused:
 
I think it depends on how you see vlogging, if you have something to offer, or a special twist on your vlogs then i thnk you have a chance to stand out.
however many people do it just as a way to document their life. i know when im old ill look back at the vlogs of my youth and laugh at how much of a moron i am ^__^
