STOP Being Melodramatic... [Serious]

I kind of agree about the shoving changes at someone before they get p****d. I mean, take for example Facebook. Facebook changes their stuff allllll the time. And when they change profile layouts, timeline feeds, etc, people were all "OMG THIS IS AWFUL WHY IS FACEBOOK SO BAD OMG IM SO DONE" and then they grow on it and adapt to the changes. I feel YT is exactly the same in that sense. People will be pissy, but then they'll realize not much they can do about it and they'll just live with it.
I hear you. But even Facebook has calmed down with the changes. It seems like every week there is a new change to Youtube :/

And then there's people like Coppercab. Who has way more dislikes than likes on his videos. Yet has over 90 mil views and 269,000 with terrible video quality.

thank you for bringing up joey, he has so many fan girls i was scared they would come to my house and stab with a spoon from my own kitchen if i spoke about him negatively.

They're not that dangerous:) Just a bit on the delusional and obsessive side about their Joey

They already have a similar program in place called On The Rise, but you or your fans submit your channel instead of just a single video. Channels over 100k subscribers are not eligible. After the submission process, they announce the finalists and voting determines the winner each month. The winner gets a feature and press on youtube's social media pages.
See then that is what I am talking about.. thanks for that I had no idea they did that. That is very cool of them.. I hope @symphonious7 is in charge of it.

When YouTube makes a new change, I try my best to embrace it, if I don't like it I work around it. In the end YouTube is a video sharing site that allows the content creator to connect with the viewers, that (probably) won't change and will always be what makes YouTube great.

The rich get richer on youtube. Youtube is like college, it's all about who you know, not necessarily what you are doing.

This is true. When you see people like Tyler Oakley are one of the top vloggers and then you go their videos page and see his last 50 videos have been 'collaborations' with other big YouTubers or now all of a sudden he's obsessed with One Direction, Hunger Games and whatever else is trending right now it makes sense.

I'm surprised there are actually people that believe in the idea that 'if you work hard and put out 'unique' content like the big YouTubers (this logic falls to pieces when you realize they're all doing the same challenges and tags)' you'll be fine. It's interesting to say the least.

So unique! So original!

It's funny how most of the people who complain are the ones who haven't been able to title their videos properly or get any views for years, as if their success has been halted.

K know right, I'm not going to say none of the big youtubers have talent, but being popular does not MEAN you have talent. It's as varied among them as it is among us and I find many of the most popular channels to be dull as hell.

You are missing the point completely. Tyler Oakley and O2L are the originals. In order for them to gain fame, they put out good content that others didn't do. Most of the smaller vloggers are the ones copying them.

And tbh, tyler and o2l are hilarious and deserve their fame.
