Sony Vegas Help

I close out all other processes, but I will put the priority on high.

Vegas has been crashing more now for some reason, and some proxies aren't built. When it renders, it either crashes at 5% or as far as 60%

Vegas is throwing me for a loop

UPDATE: Now when I open vegas, it says it can't locate some files, so I leave them out of the project, then vegas crashes.

Yeah that files part of the terront delet it. U should be fine

Actually its not, the FileIOSurrogate.exe is the application it uses to locate and collect the files required for the project. :)

Mike Kowalski I had a similar problem to you, and the method Hadyntm suggested was similar to my fix. The file he mentioned shouldn't be deleted, however if you run Vegas and then go into Task Manager > Processes and find it, right click and end it. Then reload Vegas and that should solve it, or it did for me. Feel free to say if it didn't?

When I end that process, a sony error report window comes up, and I close out of that usually. It will still do the same thing if I load it again...I just did another render and got to 58% before it got the error.

Okay and is it still the memory error your getting or is it the missing files one?

It was the same memory error.

This might be useful, whenever I reload the project, it always said some proxies could not be built (when it is loading up the clips)...idk if that has anything to do with anything

Is it mentioning audio proxies because if so thats something up with the audio tracks on your project. Have you tried opening up a second Vegas window at the same time and selecting it all from one and moving to another. Maybe your current project is corrupted somehow?

I can try that...the last render I did worked, it made it to the end, so hopefully this next render will work

Your hard drive is probably full of a lot of junk :p There's programs you can download to clear up your hard drive of junk of files, and you can delete files you're not using anymore.

try tinkering around with the codecs some

i use sony a lot and dont have much problems iwth it. some stuff simply just crashes vegas like 20 bitrate borderlands 1080p files downscaled to 720p /12bitrate

a lot of times i found simply trying another codec out will sometimes fix the problem =p
