I need help desperately. I finished up a project and it wouldn't render because it said I didn't have enough memory or something like that. I quit the program and reopened the project, but it is stuck at 13% loading

Delet some ok videos saved on your computer

Try rebooting and after that make sure you have all your other software are shut. But if by memory you mean hard drive space then try clearing some space on your hard drive by deleting some files / using a cloud to upload your important files online, like dropbox)

multiple problems now

now it will load the project, but then it freezes and crashes while some proxies are being built
render still not working if the project does load

Are you useing a torrented version?

That wouldn't supply the problem though...when I open up task manager and either open a project or render one, a program called FileIOSurrogate.exe is open and takes up almost 900,000 RAM, that is ridiculous.

Where can I find that file to delete it? It isn't showing up when I search it
if you dont have enough memory close out all other programs you have open go to your task manager >processes > then go down to vegas, right click and set priority to high. then try to render again
