So So many inactive subscribers!

Internet Idiot who loves making people laugh
My subscriber count seems pretty impressive (to me anyway) but looking at my analytics 80% of my views on all my videos come from people who AREN'T subbed to me, and only about 20% (its probably less then even that) of my subs watch my videos, I literally have about 750 inactive subs who never watch my videos, and maybe about 30 of them do watch it but they are only my recent subscribers, if even that.

It's frustrating seeing that many non subscribers watch my videos but not subscribe to me, and i have no idea how to draw my other subscribers back in again, does anyone else have the same problem with their views?

Exactly what we have, we just hit 100 and feels like not many of them actually watch! Hopefully it gets better as things grow in the future. Hopefully it gets better for you :)

Exactly! There are users with over thousands of subscribers, but only get around 100-200 views on each of their videos.. because the subscribers subscribed and died or something.

its really annoying as people who know me find my channel and think wow at my subs, but when you look at the amount of views i get it's really pathetic haha its a bit annoying tbf a lot of my subs are from a popular video 2 years ago, so probably a whole load of them dont use their accounts anymore or just dont watch my videos as it's been 2 years, it's like im talking to myself with my videos sometimes.

Also one thing that makes me feel sadly jealous is people with less subs then me get a lot more views and seem to grow really quickly (not saying they arent good it's just hard to watch when you want that so badly too)

I get exactly what you're feeling, it sucks however I hope it's all growing pains and another hurdle to go through. Your videos are great so I'm sure you'll get through it :)

I mean. You are getting views right? In the grand scheme as long as that happens eventually more and more subs will come. As for your inactive problem, maybe you have changed something recently and your subscribers are not liking it? Also if you upload daily, that can cause subscriber burn out. Honest answer is just keep posting content.

thankyou that means a lot :) I have a milestone to get to 800 subs and i seem to be losing more subs then I am gaining, and whenever i get excited about being close i lose subs again, i also have a goal of amount of views i want to get on the first day of upload for most of my videos and that is 40, i am currently at about 20 views on average for the first day of upload so im halfway there, it just should be so much more then that by now.[DOUBLEPOST=1465592759,1465592700][/DOUBLEPOST]

I am trying to post once a week but i admit i do run out of ideas and sometimes i just use gaming videos or something as a filler if i have the time, but i seem to lose constantly whatever i post its frustrating

So the thing is that Youtube will delete subs if they haven't interacted in a set ammount of time. So YT will auto clean those inactive subs for you! I know cause I lose a few sometimes when I upload, but then I usually gain a couple to make up for that.
