Should I put ads on my videos?

IMO, number of daily views is the determining factor rather than subs or total views per video. On my channel, I won't consider putting ads on my videos until I'm at 1000 views per day (and probably more) which I guess would work out at about $1 / day

1000 views per day, assuming a rough 50% monetized and standard $6-$10 CPM, at 80% rev share means you're leaving $1-$2 daily on the table. May not seem like much but that's $80-$130 after two months, all for minor unobtrusive ads that won't likely scare too many people away. Just an alternate perspective. 4 or 5 months down the line and you can buy a camera or mic with that pittance.

I'd say do with what you want, starting putting ads on videos will start to build up income and you could reach the threshold of £100 before you even get 'big'

I was thinking the same thing and most likely I won't monetize until I actually get real viewers. Unfortunately I'm too small right now thought I'm vlogging everyday

well if you want to make money out of your videos then connect with google adsense and activate the adds, over time the money will increase because businesses will want to bid more on your videos.

I'm in the same situation as you, I only have around 7000 views per month but I turned the monetization on and it all adds up in the end. By the way here comes december with decent ad revenues

You should put ads on your video. I know that its not gone make any large change but at least start putting Ads from today so that in future you can get appropriate reward for same. and remember YT gives important to those video which are monetize

I would put them on. That way your audience isnt shocked when you ad them later. Depending on what network you would be with, you can get about $12 cpm this time of year. They take their cut, and then you get 9-10$ the problem is at least for me, I only get about 50% monetized, so it is more like $5 real cpm. Even if it only nets you 5-10$ a month, go for it. Maybe reinvest that money straight back into an ad campaign for your videos to help foster a little extra growth.

I think you should do whatever you feel is right! If your current system will help in keeping your audience/gaining more, then stick with it a while longer. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. <3

I personally don't mind whether you have adverts or not, I watch your videos because you're awesome!
