Should I put ads on my videos?

Hey guys!! I don't usually bother putting adverts on my videos as I know they won't really make much/ if any money at all. So I don't see the point in making my subscribers watch an ad before my videos really. I get around 250 views per video, so just over 1000 views or so per month. Is it worth putting ads on them? Or shall I just leave it a while?

Thanks! :D

p.s I'm not with a network

I honestly think it is better to wait because you are more likely to attract an audience who will stick with you if there is no ads, and although they are 1000 views, not all of them will be monetized.

Yeah I agree, I think ads can actually be quite annoying to subscribers, especially if it's one of those 30 second ads!! Thank you, I will stick to what I'm doing atm! :)[DOUBLEPOST=1384965829,1384965811][/DOUBLEPOST]
I'd wait for a while, maybe untill you get into 10k subs or somewhere near that

Sounds like a plan :)

Put ads on them.
If someone does click on them, that change builds up a lot over time.
Just don't choose the video ad option. You can choose to have the small box ad that appears on a video.
But do put ads on your videos. I don't get many views on my videos but I put the box ads on them, and people have been clicking and it has really built up a lot of revenue so far. That small change is better than no change.

I think really only the standard instream (unskippable ads) affect whether the audience sticks around. I'd second the unobtrusive ads comment.

I'd advise against monetizing till you get about 1k views a day. Since a typical RPM is between $1 and $5 you would probably only make a few dollars a month, and since you have to make $100 to get paid, you probably wouldn't see any money for a while anyways.

IMO, number of daily views is the determining factor rather than subs or total views per video. On my channel, I won't consider putting ads on my videos until I'm at 1000 views per day (and probably more) which I guess would work out at about $1 / day

Until the money becomes a meaningful amount, I'd rather just work at growing my channel as quickly as possible and I think ads would actually slow that growth down for a smallish channel :)

I think you better can wait till you have like 100-500 per day or something like that. Than you can try to make a small amount to improve your videos.
