RIP Youtube...

I haven't had that much trouble with it, what's the problem you are having with it? (I don't know much about the comments as I haven't used it much)

Penises, giant middle fingers, naked women, etc... Well, that s**t kinda ended, as well as with the bob comments.

I made an account with Daily Motion but I haven't uploaded anything yet. I do have a concern because my content is for kids and Daily Motion has a lot of explicit content.

I'm going to continue using youtube and I'm sure a lot of people will too. I think they'll fix a lot of the troubles soon.

The thing is... Even gamers playing games whos developers clearly state its okay to do a lets play of, are still getting copyright notices, mainly because the system is TOO strict and TOO ignorant.
Yea buts that's a temporary issue that will be fixed. Also, if it isn't a valid claim, it takes two seconds to dispute.

The longer term issue isn't the game companies, it's the music publishers with the game soundtracks. Those will be a constant fight, and with the way ContentID works, the claiming entity has 30 days to respond to your dispute which makes topical and other time sensitive content problematic.

I'm sooo cautious about any audio content even with my presentations. I have taken in-store footage of the toy departments and stores like Toys R Us will have music playing over the PA system. I have to drop down the audio for sure!

Here are the incredibly hard steps to avoid this issue.

Incase you haven't noticed, the issue right now is the thousands upon thousands of existing videos for which consent from the developer was already provided being wrongly claimed by someone who picked up music publishing permission usually only in one or two countries.
