Quantity or Quality?

I saw an interesting video of someone talking about this exact topic of "Quality vs Quantity". He brings up a unique point on this debate where his thesis is "Why Not BOTH?" I've posted the video below, what are everyone's thoughts on his opinion?

 
I've had a few videos I've scrapped because it's not worth putting up sub par videos. Each video has to be as good as or better than the last in my opinion. I understand what you mean because of the amount of people uploading everyday but remember for some people it's all they do so they have the time and sometimes even the staff to upload high quality videos every day but for the small fries like myself we don't have the time or capability (yet) to upload everyday at the professional level that we're all aiming for. Just remember, a bad video that you make and only you see, no one will care about but upload a s**t video and it just so happens to blows up, that's a whole bunch of people who now see you has having bad videos. People will judge you by the first video they see so if just one video is bad, they'll see all your videos as bad. Maybe they come back later, maybe they don't but I'd rather spend more time working on my videos and making them good rather than worrying that people are going to see the bad video because I had to put something up. Scrap your bad videos and upload the good, people will think you've never ever made a bad video. So overall! Quality.
 
As long as you pay Google to get advertisements, both are okay.

Joking apart, on a long-term basis, I would personally go quantity over quality in a first moment, until you have a fidelised fanbase, then switch to quality over quantity.

I'm one of those who focus on Quality content before Quantity content and there for I only upload merely two videos per week!
Of course people who upload more videos will get more views, but not always more subs! AND there is where the Quality goes in!
Well to get to the point! I think Quantity is the way to go now because of how many youtubers that are now doing content! It's more of trying to get noticed with your videos and if you make more videos then it will be easier to get noticed! That just my point of view!

Quality all day. If you can make a large quantity of quality videos then go for it. Most people who I've subbed to before that started putting out tons of videos that I didn't like, I immediately un-sub. I've stopped putting out so many "ok" videos lately. I probably only upload about 1/5 of what I record these days.
