I Love YTtalk
I see a lot of posts from people asking how to promote videos.... It can be a slow process, but 1 single share that ends up working can be a huge factor. This video is not even very great in my opinion, but the Internet seems to like it. One successful share ended up causing multiple shares from a bunch of popular sites that seems to still be happening even a month and a half later. This does not always happen, but it paid off this time.
So the point of this post is even if you try to promote something and get 0 feedback, it's worth it to keep looking for sources and experimenting! All you need is 1 person with access to a bunch of people to like your content that you shared with them and they will spread the word for you.... You just need to know that they will like what you send them which is how I judge where I post my stuff.... I'd say I'm only confident in about 10% or less of my videos are guaranteed to be liked when I send it out and I hand pick what I share to make sure I don't bore possible leads. So this is motivation for those of you who have not had any luck trying to promote videos, keep on trying! If you're lucky the source will even sub to your channel which is what I'm hoping for one of these days!
I have posted multiple threads when I figure out new promotion strategies to share with everybody in here, so I will not type them up again here again. If you are interested, do some searching and you will find them. Happy hunting! Let me know if any of my strategies work for you BTW... It would be interesting to see somebody else use them for non-dog videos.
