For your information I started about a year ago, and I have over 100,000 subscribers again, and I can with great joy say:

Um... Yeah.

I don't think YouTube is dying. It's probably just a case of bad luck, and needing to reach more people. Twitter and such are crucial for getting more subs and such. Hopefully those will stick around and not be inactive. :/
