Hello there,
My channel AntiXenox has changed alot since I started it, it's become much more than a fun hobby and more like a job of some sorts and heres why; YouTube isn't really fun anymore and the foundations of the site are becoming more and more unbearable because of popular youtubers. I have 235 subs as of right now and I'm not really happy at the rate of exposure, I seem to be growing very slower than in the first months of beginning YouTube. Many people will just say their channel is dead and delete it, but thats not a option for me as I have put so much effort into YouTube it is unbelievable.
In the past week I have lost 2 subs and gained zero and I don't know why this is, it's like watching the population decrease right in front of me. It's all about active subscribers, YouTube should siv out all of the inactive ones so that it's so much easier for a channel to grow and raise the ranks.
I would say I'm creating good content and this is being blanketed, some would say any channel created after 2010 are dead even when they start. It's just really annoying...

And thats my rant, of course I will continue YouTube, I just want to have more video interaction.

If you want more minecraft Views. You should probably look at doing How To's, these always non stop will get allot of views due to every single day thousands if not hundreds of thousands start playing minecraft and will be sometimes looking at most recently uploaded How to's. This then might lead to peopl elooking at you Hexxit Videos

I personally am going to be doing alot of these when Minecraft FINALLY updates to 1.7 lol

Otherwise just try to Social get your videos out. Twitter etc.
 
Okay listen, you make mostly Minecraft videos, and with you there are thousands of other Minecraft channels of which some might be a lot bigger. Minecraft isn't original anymore so you have to really do something new with it to stand out, and that will be very hard to do. Either find another game that isn't so widely used to base a channel on, or start thinking of ways how to be more original.

Hard work doesn't necessarily mean that you're creating content that people want to watch/subscribe.

Look at musicians, actors, etc. They may have been popular before but that doesn't meant that viewers necessarily want to still see them. People are always hungry for the newest thang.

Content is paramount, distribution is a secondary objective.
 
Wow...what a depressing thread. I'm sure we've all seen channels we thing are awesome but they don't have a lot of subscribers and other we can't figure out why they have as many as they do. The public like what they like. You can't make them subscribe.
 
Yeah...I don't zhink YT is dead, it has certainly changed zhough, and you know, I've seen more and more posta and vlogs about zhis subject. Some from not so small channels...I zhink it IS harder nowadays for people to find your content on YT...
