People turning off almost exactly half way through

I was looking at my stats for my video and it seems that both UK and USA average watch duration is almost exactly half for both.
If you just look at the average watch time, I don't think it means the viewers turn off at that particular time in the video, does it? If one person watches 1 second and the next person watches the whole video, it would also be 50%. Or am I wrong?

No, you're right, it's an average :)

I hope so, everyone I've asked said they watched it and few said they like the end and said what made them laugh ( a bit at the end ) so I think it's me messing it up!

Hey guys, hope you're all good!

I was looking at my stats for my video and it seems that both UK and USA average watch duration is almost exactly half for both.

I have reviewed it but am still not overly sure what it is I was doing wrong at that point..

Does anyone else get this issue or have had this issue and solved it?
Thanks guys!

Are you just looking at your overall audience retention/watch time for that video, or are you looking at the video's analytics under audience retention? In that section, you can see your audience retention in real time as your video plays-the graph will show you exactly where you lost people and you can see what is happening in the video to make that happen.

The second one, where exactly is the other option? Also, I jusy checked... I have 2 views from Ukraine with an average view time of 4:24... both being 9mins I totally. My video is only 3:11 how have they managed to watch 4:24

What option are you looking for? To answer the other question, if the watch time exceeds the video length it's because of people rewinding and watching again, either parts of the video or the whole thing.
