Needing Help with a Big Decision

In my opinion you should have your own channel, then you will feel very happy when you have gained many subscribers without anyone else involving.
 
I would never take on anyone else's channel.
It wouldn't feel right. It wouldn't be my own creation.

It wouldn't be my success, or my ideas.
 
I think you should start your own channel. If your friend asks for help again, you can offer to do a collab together but on separate channels.

I think it's better and simpler to have your own channel with its own identity - ie You. Good luck. :)
 
The clue is in the title of the website: YOU-tube :)
Make the journey your journey. Collaborate by all means but your brand and identity is most important.

I say do your own thing man! If you are feeling guilty about being on his channel, don't be on it anymore :) You are completely free to upload to your own personal channel and grow that!

I did it. Thanks everyone for helping me out, it certainly helped me confirm my gut feeling of 'going my own way'. I talked to my buddy TRX about it, he told me it was all good because he doesn't plan to upload anymore anyway.

Also, my new channel is up if anyone is interested :)


Time to get to molding my own identity on youtube!
 
why don'y you do both? then at the end of the joint channel videos say yo if you want more of (the type of content thats on that channel) click here, and if you want more of me doing (the type of content on your personal channel) click here.
maybe also have a skype chat with your partner and come up with a game plan for the channel so you are both on the same page?
