Monetization Issue

So I've had this "trick" I've used to get instant monetization on my videos (and it works for everything except SimCity videos, which just get outright denied ... no content ID match, no copyright strikes, just outright denial of monetization ... but that's a separate issue).

Anyway, with my 3 most recent videos (2 are live, 1 is scheduled), all three have been "under review" for 18+ hours now. It's been over a year since I began monetizing videos and this has never happened. Is YouTube getting more strict on monetization or is there a new glitch?

I believe it's a glitch. There have been quite a few people who have been complaining about a similar issue, some who have waited over 3 days for monetization. I would say wait it out a bit more and see if the issue resolves itself.

tell me the 'trick' and i might help you

Well I schedule all my videos, and I wait until the video is completely done processing, and only then do I enable monetization. I found if I enabled monetization before the video completed uploading / processing, my monetization would sit "under review" for days. Doing it that way made it almost instant.[DOUBLEPOST=1373567705,1373567634][/DOUBLEPOST]
Monetization has been broken since Monday. There are multiple threads on this topic, so be sure to do a quick search before making a new thread :)

I didn't see any posted in the monetization area on the first page, so I thought those were resolved already. Sorry.

No worries - there've just been a bunch of duplicates on this topic, as everybody's scramblin' to recoup their losses. I've notified the mods of the duplicate, so hopefully we can get 'em merged :)

i created a forum about this. its day 6 for me and i have 4 videos that are late to be released. im worried ill loose subscribers, has any1 msged the google help or youtube partner comment thing?

It seems Google updated monetization system. Tried various kinds of videos without any third party content or music and they are still under review. If this keeps up, joining a network will be the only solution

Ok so as a follow up to my original issue ... all the videos that were "under review" now are "not monetized, provide proof for commercial use rights" ... including my VLOG! (My vlog is me talking to a camera, with my little intro that I created in Adobe After Effects, and using royalty-free music from Kevin MacLeod, who is credited in the video description). Also my WoW video was flagged, and as far as I understand, Blizzard Entertainment allows WoW gameplay videos to be monetized (I always have commentary). I've been posting WoW videos for months now with no issues. The only video (I didn't include in the screen shot) that *might* have a monetization issue would be my retro-gaming video (not sure if Texas Instruments cares or not if people monetize the games they produced in the early 80s).

What is going on? Should I dispute or should I leave it alone?

Submit additional info, otherwise the video(s) will be disabled for monetization permanently.
