Is vine going to take over youtube?

I've noticed that vine has recently been getting a lot more popular, youtube is spammed up with a ton of vine videos. Are people eventually going to completely stop/barely using youtube and only watch vine? It would make since if that happened, vines are short funny and get the point across, which you would otherwise have to watch a 2 minute video with a long a** intro and a bunch of stupid things leading up to that one joke to make the video longer I guess. What are your thoughts on vine? I personally hate it, it's filled with nothing but those vine boys (like Nash, cam, jack&jack) that are famous for their looks, only putting out s*itty worthless content that's not even the slightest bit funny.

heres a thing though there's no way that this would happen. Vine is just like all the social apps, it gets popular for while and then dies off for the "Next" big thing

I highly doubt we will even see competition in a long time, youtube is just REALLY big, other websites are like big elephant to a spider when comparing to youtube, why do you think people stay after the s****y updates?

To me it seems like youtube is just waiting for some competitor to come it and become the new youtube, making stupid changes and forcing users to that god awful social network, If someone makes a better video sharing site I would gladly switch[DOUBLEPOST=1396013928,1396013889][/DOUBLEPOST]
Nah, the 6 seconds thing is way to limited, Vine is not even close to YouTube's stance in terms of popularity, there is also no good way of monetization meaning the content will never be professional grade.
They're actually is a way for comers to make money, they get paid to promote products.

I said no good way ^^ :p

No steady accurate income, plus the whole clip would have to be on the product whereas on YouTube you can just discretely integrate.

I highly doubt that Vine will take over. I mean look at websites like Vimeo. This website had a popularity time, but YouTube still reigns as the supreme! :D
