Is google+ helpful in anyway?

Yeah I never sub for sub. When people follow me (only around 60 people have) I put them into groups called people who have me in their circles, so I know who to send emails to without the fear of annoying people with extensive promotion of my videos.
 
I havnt been using google Plus to my advantage, Its something I've been looking at recvently because its another social media site that you can add tags to so people can view your videos. But I did see someone mention that people will post but wont watch other stuff on there. If the comunity was better on google+ then I reckon it could be used to grow your channel but I dont think enough people use google+! I for one am someone that doesnt use google+ and I will occasionally work harder to tag my posts.

I have been doing a little research and messing around with Google+ recently and have been using it to my advantage.

Tried to link to the group here but I still can't't post links, just search "YouTube" and then click communities in the filter and its in the top Three.

This group has almost 120,000 members in it with only 70,000 posts.....in my opinion it could be a gem in the rough as it has almost double the people in it that it does posts meaning its not one of the generic post your videos and bail groups as it would surely have much fewer members and more than 70k posts.

Try not to abuse it if you use it though :)

It wasn't random. I know exactly what I did. One day I had an epiphany to how I could use google plus to my advantage. No one else had thought of this at the time. Still, not many people have. And I've been growing since the summer. I started with about 650 subs, 20k+ views on youtube and like 10 followers and 3k+ views on google plus.

I tried to make a thread on how I did it when I only had 2k but not very many people took my advice. One guy did and he went from 23 subs to 500+ subs over the summer. One of my friends was also on yttalk that went from 0 to 940 subs but still, people don't want to listen. It really works.

You don't directly use google+ to promote yourself but its clear that there is a correlation between comments and google+ as I went from 3k views on google plus to 700k+ views.
