Is an intro and outro worth it?

Slightly off-topic but people who monetize their videos when they're just starting... I don't get it. Unless they're blowing up with views/subs they aren't going to get much and it detours some people from watching videos.
Is this accurate? Honestly I started getting more subscribers after I started monetizing my videos (but I also started changing up my style a bit). I think it makes a channel seem more legit.
But that's just me :thumbsup2:

Really? Wow, that's great. I guess it's dependent on each channel and type. I tend to click out of stuff unless I really want to watch it. Just like long intros, haha.

Put an intro, max 5 seconds. It makes your channel more professional and enforces your brand/logo image.

I like outros, I use it to remind people to like, and I have annotations for my channel and a subscribe link. Check out my videos for a bit of an idea.

Also, work really hard on getting very catchy music for both - this really helps. you MUST use copyright-free music though - look for royalty-free creative commons licensed music.

This is EXTREMELY important. It will be very hard too. I didn't think mine was catchy, but all my friends say it is. So whatever you make, show it to people and ask them what they think, maybe make a couple of different ones and test them out.

Im new to youtube but from my background as a business owner .. branding is extremely important. An intro can be easily used as the 1st impression of your brand. But more important than having an intro is having a good intro. If you're intro is tacky and far from being a polished piece of marketing .. then you're 1st impression is that you're tacky and unprofessional. Some people might have a problem with watching intros but .. c'mon how hard is it to click ahead of the intro on the player? It's only takes a second.
As for outros .. again it's another chance to re-enforce your branding for those who continue watching it. If you want them to keep watching through the outro make sure to give a reason. It needs to hold something for the viewer .. related information .. means of contact .. etc .. not just fancy graphics with no meaning.

Intros have a very good effect on the start of a video using sometime like after effects will make people watched think this is a very professorial looking video outros i dont use really but yes they are worth it :)

I try to open my series of videos with a different skit each time, maybe a quick intro would be good for the branding.

An outro on videos to advertise information and past videos always seems nice when I see them.
