In your experience, does uploading videos everyday hurt or hinder your channel?

If you do not have a following that practically begs you for daily uploads it will severely hurt your channel. Nothing alienates people more than seeing the same mediocre content end up in their inbox. Spend your time to hone your videos, and do max 3 in a week. For me personally I got more views and subscribers the LESS I uploaded. Pretty strange, but it's the truth. Quality > Quantity.

I don't believe it could ever really hurt your channel the goal should always be quality over quantity but if you can do both go for it

We tried uploading our battles weekly which caused many of our fans to believe we were rushing them without realizing our scheduling system.

It hurts my channel... a lot. I used to do this - I had low quality videos, and I didn't care about my channel. Now if I put in the time and effort to make the equal quality (which will take forever) then people will be expecting content every day and I can't keep up with that expectation, unless, well, I love editing (which I don't)

I'm not really sure, I used to do daily, then I did weekends and...Well now I just kind of dump all of my Let's Plays every sunday which ranges from 3 to 7 videos. Not sure if its smart but I usually do that

Uploading daily really isn't an option for me personally. Takes way too long to make a video the way I do them. I try to get out at least one per week though :). (I also work full-time)

Yeah that's way to overwhelming. If I was subscribed to a person and I saw that they have uploaded so many video, I wouldn't even watch one. Not out of spite or anything, it just feels like that is way to much content to even consider watching. Plus it would feel like none of these videos are in "real time". IE the difference between watching a sporting event live vs a prerecorded event takes out a lot of the audience engagement IMO.

But relating to the question at hand, I use to upload everyday but since I record with someone else a lot of times our schedules wouldn't match up. So we switched over to every other day with maybe one extra video sprinkled in.

I went from releasing like 2 videos a week to now releasing anywhere from 6-7 videos a week and it has helped me a lot. I've gained more subscribers and my views have gone up.

Depends on how good content you make. If your content is mediocre at best then people wont be much happy to see it every day. But if you make good, a bit shorter and funny/educational/interesting videos (so they are able to watch it everyday or in bulk during weekend), then there is no problem with it :)

When I did vlogmas last year it was a temporary time of daily uploading, I actually considered if it would be better to have a separate channel but in the end I'm happy I kept it together because my daily vlogs got people connected to my channel so in the end it was kind a saturating but with result!
