I stopped growing after I reached 100 subs!

So I was so excited when I reached 100 subscribers! And then... I did not pass any more milestones. I reached 100 subs in a relatively short time, but then all growth just petered out and I only have 109 and don't gain subscribers when I post a new video. And views have gone down a bit.

I haven't changed my approach. I mostly promote through tumblr, and while I stopped following new people as much as I used to, which usually led to more people on my channel, I still don't understand why my growth would stop so dramatically?

Any suggestions? Anything I'm doing wrong? Or should I just be patient? Any criticism/advice is welcome!
 
My advice would be to make videos more regularly. More videos = more views & more subscribers. Most big channels try to make at least one video each week.
 
I myself have the same thing going on; I hit 100 subs like 2 months ago and have only gotten 31 more. I've had the same schedule and stuff, and started more series and put more effort into my videos. I think I gotta promote better or something.
@uberdanger has made guides here on YTTalk for channels to grow. You should go read 'em

Don't base this advice off of my channel as it's a brand new channel that hasn't even launched to regular uploading yet. This is from my past channel that got around 10k subs that I stopped doing for various reasons. Anyway.

So more enthusiasm, more confidence, radiate an aura of assurance in yourself. People like that. If you have a lot of pauses in your speech during a vlog cut those bits and do the annoying jump cut method. Do multiple takes if you want. You may get a better result in the 2nd improvised video. Take your best clips and toss em together.

I watched a few videos and the content quality is good overall. The only thing i'd say is be more confident. Even if it's acting just act like you are really happy, excited, really confident and don't give a f**k ya know.

Before I get on camera or in game I just get loosened up. I just relax, smoke a cigarette, stretch out, whatever I get my self pumped up. Like athletes do before a game. Then I start full throttle in the videos to get people excited and back off a bit because I can't go full throttle for hours on end (multiple episodes).

It might actually be related. I stopped growing after 150 but that was also a point where I could not find that much time for YouTube anymore and did less networking (i.e. watch other videos, comment and connect).
With small channels like ours even 1, 2 or 3 subs less get noticed a lot I guess.
 
For some reason, I stopped growing at 1500+ subs and I was still putting out content frequently.

I was able to slowly reach 1600 by being more active on social media like twitter, google+, facebook, and reddit.
 
Don't get discouraged, your videos are great! The thing that I've started to realize about Youtube is that there is an audience for anything, you just have to find it! This might mean increased targeting of these groups while sharing or even using a site such as Virool to promote directly! Though these options are available I don't necessarily think you have to utilize them. You have a great channel going and I think that if you stay consistent that your audience will eventually find you! Just stay consistent and don't give up! Good luck!
