I have 2 questions...

Hey, so I have 2 questions that as a YouTube newbie I would appreciate it if someone could help me out, I have a feeling the two may be linked. So firstly I just wanted to ask why YouTube seem to put comments that I receive under 'likely spam' and secondly people seem to say they have subscribed ti my channel yet my subscriber numbers hasn't changed from 4 for quite a while, do you think it has something to do with it it being marked as spam (so people just say that so that you can subscribe to their channel) or do you think there could be a problem with people subscribing to my channel?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Aisha

1) Comments classified under likely spam usually include external links or "blacklisted" words or sentences such as "Cool, check out my channel" kinds.

2) To confirm if the person has subbed, check out your email notification or the subscriber list under Community settings. Usually these comments are just empty promises in order to get you to reciprocate.

Subbing is pretty simple. Just click on the YTer's subscribe button and it's done. No complications.

I get spam comments like "HEY I LIKE YOUR VIDEOS, SUBBED, MIND CHECKING OUT MY CHANNEL?"
These spammy comments are blacklisted automatically by YOUTUBE. It saves my time from reading spammy comments.
If someone subs you, you should get the email straight away. However YOUTUBE takes time to update the sub count. Some people just sub and then unsub.

The subs and comments are most probably coming for people who do a lot of comments and subs. So YouTube algorithm considers them as bots/spammers (and most probably that's what they are).

All spammy comments like check out my channel get put into that folder. and it seems like people that say they subscribed havent because your number should be going up...good luck to you!
