How to get subscribers more active?

Do giveways and always engage with your subs. If they always post comments and you ignore them or dont respond then they will feel as if their talking to a brick wall, or you simply do not care.

Hello! So I watched a couple of your videos - and had maybe two tidbits? Your audio - the music is really loud compared to your voice. We want to hear YOU! The music is secondary. Try taking the music levels down several notches, and boost your voice a bit.

Second - there are a LOT of makeup tutorial folks out there. You definitely do very well with yours, and the quality of your video is there. But... is there any way you can spin it to make it more unique though? Like maybe makeup tutorials for geek girls, or do something that has some relevance like "Pacific Rim makeup tutorial". What would that look like? I have no idea, but it sounds interesting! It would have to be pretty creative to work, so I bet it would be cool! Just an example, but something along those lines because Pacific Rim is pretty big right now, you'll get a little more traction from the relevance.

Just something to offer, I do like your content though :)

Channels I'm active on generally ask a question or try to start some kind of discussion in the comments section. It's not always on YouTube too, I talk to the YouTubers on twitter, facebook and instagram as well. For me that makes the YouTuber seem active and engaging on a one on one level.

For my own channel a majority of my views/likes and comments are on Facebook since that's where I tag and share my videos. The problem is not all comments are directed at me and if they share it out, I don't get notified if people comment on it. The best would be to have everything on the video itself, but not everyone is willing to get a youtube account.

a lot of channels dont have a lot of active subscribers, think about those channels with millions of subscribers, but their videos never hit that amount of views.

Reply to any comments they write on your videos, and get them involved by maybe asking them a few questions in your videos, like ''what do you guys think about this? please let me know in the comments!'' or something along those lines! :) Everyone has some inactive subs though! Don't worry too much about it! :)
