How silly is too silly?

Ou they are, hence why I dont have one. I dont want to wake up one day and hae the cute puppy dead on my living room carpet, because I forgot that you know, they eat :D

I have a plant, and I can barely remember to water it once a week :D
Trust me, the puppy will tell you when it wants to eat. hahaha my dog spooky is hilarious, he comes up to me and starts pawing at my legs, I'll be like "Nope, not time yet" Then he starts sneezing and giving me this look like "Hey. You see me here. What's the deal man." When he needs to go outside he'll just sit at my feet staring up at me for a minute and then he walks to the door and keeps staring at me, he'll continue to go back and forth from me to the door kind of like "So are we going or what?" Until I take him out it's so funny LOL

See my question is like... how did those guys take themselves seriously? But, legitimately. I've seen them in interviews, they talk about their comedy as their "craft" and talk about "studying" it and all this stuff. And in ways I feel like I have natural comedic ability but I can't take myself seriously. I can't even bring myself to say "I do a comedy series on youtube!" sometimes cause it feels more correct to me to say "I act like an idiot in public sometimes" lol... But no I mean... I should chill. Always. And forever.

Yeah, they are a good example. They are all really smart people - they all met while studying at Oxford and Cambridge University so they can do serious as good as anyone and yet can also do "silly" too - hell they invented comedy silly!

I think doing comedy is one of the hardest arts. There is no other art where the artist has to put himself "out there" as much as comedy. It's not enough for a comedian to be funny, but he also needs the courage to be silly and not give a F because he's going to be judged and in the spotlight everytime he steps out on stage or presses "record". I couldn't do it. I love comedy and have funny thoughts, but I don't have the extrovert personality to be able to "do silly" in front of a crowd or camera. But I have huge respect for anyone who can or at least tries.

The way I look at it is: Think of some funny sketches that are really funny and that you have enjoyed in the past. Now imagine just receiving and reading the script for them before actually seeing the sketch itself. In other words, imagine being the TV producer receiving the script for some of those Monty sketches before the end product. I bet when reading them they don't seem very funny at all. In fact, I bet they looked really "silly" So yeah comedy is hard and really subjective too. The successful ones are those who didn't care about what people think and who follow through with their ideas. Easier said than done though :)

Well, now I want a dog, and according my landlords contract I cant have one. great. :D

Awwww no good! Maybe you can be sneaky about it... Get a ninja dog! He can hide in the shadows when your landlord comes... :ninja2:
Look, lets not do that, because if its a ninja dog, eventually it willrealize it can over power me, and will take over the apartment. Its a freaking ninja dog, what can you do about it? :D

hahaha RIGHT!
em...your welcome by the way! :D Ou and if you do make it, I take 60% of all income of the video as the co-creator and concept developer. My lawyers will be in touch soon t discuss the details :|

Ou, also, stumbled upon this song, you might enjoy as a way of keeping spirits high.

My videos are incredibly silly and more off the wall than most normal videos in the gaming niche.

- I made a video where I "cosplayed" as Scrooge McDuck in public being incredibly silly at Disneyland and it won me a prize from Capcom for their Ducktales Remastered contest.

- I do a series where I'm a football player (in my avatar) that goes into video games which probably makes no sense whatsoever to people, but it's among my most viewed series and the reps from Square-Enix I met at E3 last year like it. It's now one of my "so bad, it's good" series.

- I did a video where I was drunk during a local Oktoberfest and made it Skyrim based and Bethesda loved it when I tweeted it to them.

So, what's the lesson here? Be yourself.

In fact, be even more silly and hold nothing back. :)
