How silly is too silly?

Symph

I'm a dude with a face and I know how to use it.
I don't know anymore. I mean I have my ethical viewpoint which is "If you feel it, you should be able to do it, people may think it's too weird or mock you but they can suck it, be YO SELF YO" But now I look back at all the sillyness I put on my channel, even the video I just uploaded holding up a bag of maltomeal and talking about how it's the size of 3 of my heads and how it's going on the basement to be hidden from the malt-o-meal thieves, which honestly I could barely get through it made me laugh so hard, but I look at that and think "What if a potential business I'd want to be a part of saw this?" I think "This is the kind of stuff that doesn't truly get anywhere" I think "Girls who WOULD find me attractive and sub for it are going to go "ughhhh he's weiiiirddddd"

And like... is that right? No of course it's not right, but is learning to play the game so to speak anyway just... mature? And smart? And is it what one should do to make it? Can someone as crazy as myself even tame the village idiot within enough to do it? I mean sure I can act presentable and I do on many videos, but it's when I'm in that MOOD, when I'm not in the mood, when I'm feeling like being ridiculous, can I even control my impulses to maintain a better youtube image? Is it wise to?

Hell no, why hold your true personality back for the approval of others? f**k that.

PS. I missed you Symph -Pawtaytoe
Been uploading mayne, Just not posting too much. And that's the thing I grasp this whole "You shouldn't seek the approval of others thing" But as I age like the great oak tree that I am, I begin to think that this is not about seeking approval, it's about getting ahead. I want to be an entity. I want my music to make it, I want my channel to make it, I want to blog for money, I want to get that website going, I want to get there. And even if you are morally in the right, if it doesn't help you succeed is it worth it? I'm starting to wonder... I mean yes this world sucks, people suck for being close minded, yes. But it's how it is... I don't know anymore. I need my teddy.

You're right Symph. You're just too silly. You're way too silly. You're not funny at all. Just like Jim Carry. I mean, what an idiot he is!!! He's never made a funny movie!! He's just too silly in his movies. Same with Adam Sandler. What a weirdo!!!!! He didn't make millions of dollars being ridiculous or anything. And what about Mike Myers in Austin Powers. Pfffffffffffffffftt...what a terribly unfunny, ridiculous movie. I bet no one in the business ever took them seriously and that's why they have never made good movies!

If a grandma had a p***s, then she would be a grandpa, simple as that.

If you are going to constantly go by "what if" you might as well, sit in a corner and not move, since every action you take has potential consequences. They key though is, not limiting yourself from your actions, but acknowledging that there is always going to be a reaction, and you can take on the consequences for your actions. :)

Well Kat sure knows how to make a point... Woman, thou hast open mine eyesssssssss I seeeeee... I dunno though... something still is just weird... Like I flip flop, me myself. In other words, what WAS funny to me, sometimes I watch and I'm like "Oh God dude... why...." And that's where I get confused... something you honestly did for fun should be good to do right? So what's with the embarrassment later? OH! OH! I think I get it.

I've been thinking about becoming a blogger and I've signed up for quite a few freelance sites, I'm working on this album I'm going to pitch to radio, it's not that I truly think these things, it's that the reality of "I'm gonna be heard and seen by professionals" is messing with my head! I bet that's it.... I'm glad you showed me pictures of Jim Carrey until I came to my senses. Thanks Kat, you always know which celebrity to slap me in the face with :D[DOUBLEPOST=1398775544,1398775407][/DOUBLEPOST]

I... honestly think I kinda get what you're saying. This is all about confidence isn't it... You just have to own your full self instead of trying to "put a best foot forward"... ARGGGG And if a grandma had a p***s she would not be a grandpa, she'd be a hermaphrodite, DUH.

Well the truth is Symph.....not everyone likes Jim Carrey. I know people who hate Jim Carrey. Not everyone is going to like what you do. That doesn't mean there aren't people out there who love what you do and love who you are. You are YOU. And who you ARE is....funny, weird, smart, talented, flip floppy, worried, loveable, hilarious...and everything in between.
I just put myself out there with the toilet parody of Lady Gaga. It's embarrassing to say you clogged the toilet (even though it's totally untrue) lol.....but honestly I was compelled to make that parody, because that silly side is a part of me, weather I like it or not :P Granted it doesn't always come out. The only reason I didn't put it on my main channel is because I fear the copyright strike. You worry too much. You're just like me :P now stop worrying. *Slaps Symph again*

Yeah... I didn't used to. It's this dang... age I'm at. I think what's hard for me is PROMOTING a channel where I'm acting weird. Like... it's one thing to throw the videos up there, it's another to be like "Hey everyone! Come check out my new video where I play with Malt O Meal! Don't miss out!!!" You know lol And yes... I usually come back here when I'm worried don't I... I'm a predictable little bunny...
