Hide Sub Count??

I did an experiment with this on a few channels (some not mine, but a variety). Anyway, I found initially that the subscribers came crashing in more and more, but soon leveled out. It wasn't until it was turned back on that they started to go up again, then again it could have been a bump that normally happens as a channel progresses. We had a channel that ended up keeping it off, and they ended up getting the same results. Now why it doesn't matter either way (or shouldn't), majority of people are going to say that you need to have it on otherwise you are "embarrassed" by your numbers, and it'll turn people off from your channel. However, if you don't care about the numbers, and want to make your channel feel a bit more exclusive, you can feel free to do that as well.

I'm going to end up leaving sub count off on my ASMR channel since most of it is personalized.
 
Really no point in hiding your sub count because the no one can watch you grow and you subs don't really know when you hit an awesome milestone!

never really thought about it..... speaking for my self only.. if i watch a few videos that i like from a youtuber i'll subscribe. i've never ever looked at anyones subs. unless im bored and wanna see what youtuber is closer to Pewdiepies subcount this week...... yea i get that kind of bored hahaha

Its better to let it show, some people may notice that youre hiding it because youre scared of people thinking you have low subs. Be proud of your sub count, high or low! :D
 
It won't do jack. There are indeed those that will not subscribe to those with low subscriber counts, but the ones that truly do enjoy your content will subscribe no matter what your subscriber count it at currently! Just leave it live.
 
While you do have that option to hide your count it probably wont matter. Besides why hide it anyway sub count is something to be proud of. It shows people actually care for your content.
