Hate my own voice

Im recording my commentaries through Audacity, and I hate my voice as. Is this normal? If so, how did you adapt to it as a YouTuber?

Most of the time when we hear our own voices, we hear it on crappy equipment. Someone mentioned old answering machines. Those things aren't known for it's "high fidelity" recording capabilities. When I bought a decent mic and a Zoom H1, and started recording in 96kHz/24Bit WAV, it made a huge difference how my voice sounded. Before, I just tolerated my voice. But afterwards my appreciation of it went up a bit.

I don't record directly into a computer. It's too electrically noisy for my tastes.

I understand how that has t suck, I personally love my voice. Idk it was never really an issue for me
I generally think my voice sounds cool.

When you hear your own voice for the first time out of a speaker you will have that WTF effect. But, this is how other people have heard you all their lives. Don't worry about it and go for it!

I used to think the same xD but I am starting to like my voice more. wHat I don't like at all is my accent (I'm from Spain) but I can't really help that -.- xD

Give it 2 months. You get use to it. Trust me. I use to hate my own voice too. Still sometimes do. But eventually you get use to hearing it.

It's completely normal to hate your own voice when you hear recordings of it. It's because it sounds really different to what you hear normally when you talk. To others it will sound normal.

I always think that my voice sounds weird but when I look back at a video from 2012 or 6 months ago compared to a recent video I notice that my voice sounds better than it used to be.

Me too but I've got over it now. It's fine. I read somewhere then 90 something percent of people hate their own voices that means you're normal[DOUBLEPOST=1421233865,1421233824][/DOUBLEPOST]
Here's the thing about voices. You spent your entire life up until the point of recording, listening to the resonance of your own voice through your skull. This is not your voice, but rather a heavily modulated version of your voice. So when you get into recording, it can be quite jarring to hear yourself speak. This used to more commonly come out when people listened to themselves on an answering machine (precursor to voicemail for those too young to remember).

Just remember that while this new voice you're not used to hearing may sound awkward to you, it doesn't to other people. They may or may not like your voice just like you may or may not like the voice of people you speak to but it is not weird to them like it is to you.

The only way to adapt to it, is to learn to love your own voice or at a bare minimum, learn to tolerate it. It's the only one you get, unless you can do impressions, in which case turn that s**t up to 11.
hey your channel link doesn't work mate i think you should fix it
