Hate Criticism

Welcome.. I tend to ignore the critics that don't give helpful critiques. I mean if it sucks fine, but give me a suggestion on how it might not suck.

Can you lot give me some advice on how to deal with criticism?

1. Realize that their comment is probably helping your search rankings.
2. Delete the comment.
3. Block the commenter.

I've had a few thumbs down and one or two less than constructive comments (am a very small channel!), so I admit that whether or not I'm really qualified to speak on the matter is debatable. But I'm going to throw my 2c in there anyway! :devil::D

My opinion is that it's the internet- trolls are plentiful and there are plenty of people out there who get kicks off writing horrible comments to strangers. Can't understand why people get their kicks like that, but it is what it is. So my response to negative feedback is just 'meh'. People can think what they want, not everybody is going to like my videos, and there'll be some people out there who'll take pleasure in letting me know it! I accept that. Do I respond? Nah. It's a personal preference though- some do respond to those comments in a really funny manner! It's all just what you want to do, and what you feel comfortable with doing. :)

I think so long as you're getting enjoyment out of making your videos, that's all that matters. Go on with your videos and having fun.
 
When someone says "It's s**t" they're normally not worth dealing with, unless of course your videos are horrible quality etc.
 
There will always be trolls online, and everyone has their opinions. If you know what you're doing is good then move on with it. If you're not positive about it double check what you're doing, see what you could fix. Good luck!
 
First of all, hey and welcome to the forums Joshua! :D

Secondly, definitely just ignore them, there are people who literally sit on the computer all day, just going around typing horrible comments to people, I'm not sure why, either boredom or jealousy! But the bigger your channel gets the more 'haters' you will have commenting on your videos, even people who post the most hilarious, entertaining videos get these comments, so just ignore it and carry on doing what you do! :)
 
I generally just ignore it. If they are doing it for trolling and out of spite, then I would just block them and delete the comment. Don't respond to them if they are trolling, that way they would lose interest. If you do get some constructive (but negative) comments, then I would take a step back and think about the content or video itself.
