I linked my youtube channel to Google Analytics about 2 months ago and didn't really look into it that much because I relied on youtube analytics. But I recently went into it and checked under "referrals" and found a bunch of random external websites that have never shown up into my youtube analytics. This is pretty cool it gives you additional insight that youtube limits you from.

Some of the referral websites I got were random and I have NO idea what these websites are or how they are even related to my channel. These are the websites, let me know if you are familiar with them:

I think mine is broken. I know for a fact that there are views happening, but it's not picking anything up. Maybe I have to wait a bit for it to be accurate. It sees when I go on my channel or video, but that seems to be the only one registering.

oh makes sense! Tomorrow morning you will be able to see a full report on today's analytics. But keep in mind since you set it up today you won't be able to see any analytics prior to that date.

Has anyone heard anything negative about setting up google analytics to your channel? I read something about Google setting up some sort of spyware in your channel...

Same! I just checked mine, very interesting.
If Analytics can report on this, I wonder why YouTube doesn't.

Can't chime in much, as I don't have Google Analytics set up - but that being said, I should definitely get around to it!
