Google Analytics....new discovery

PinProject

I Love YTtalk
I linked my youtube channel to Google Analytics about 2 months ago and didn't really look into it that much because I relied on youtube analytics. But I recently went into it and checked under "referrals" and found a bunch of random external websites that have never shown up into my youtube analytics. This is pretty cool it gives you additional insight that youtube limits you from.

Some of the referral websites I got were random and I have NO idea what these websites are or how they are even related to my channel. These are the websites, let me know if you are familiar with them:

- site40.simple-share-buttons. com
- o-o-6-o-o. com
- humanorightswatch . org
- site40.simple-share-buttons . com

I have no idea what those sites are, I'll definately have a look over there at some point to see what it shows for me

Simple-share-buttons is new for me. But the other sites are sites who look up other sites by bots (i hope)... Why do they do that? I don/t know. They must have their own reasons.

I have never gotten those sites in my referrals list. I would just block the spamming.

Can you explain more by what you said about other sites who use bots?[DOUBLEPOST=1426518121,1426517967][/DOUBLEPOST]

I rarely get spam in my comments section, but if they are helping me get views then why block them lol

It can be everything...

I do own some sites and the sites you mentioned are familiar to me. Some companies (?) uses bots to visit random sites. Why they do that? There are possible explanations, but I'm totally not sure....

Searching for email addresses, so they can spam you/put in database and sell
Searching for blog/comments sections of sites, so they can spam for several reasons
Searching for pictures to save
Searching for addresses to keep in database and sell/use later

It starts tracking by the end of today, you can't go back in time to see your analytics from any day before today that's just how it works.
