Freedom! Network Experience?

Flame

Gaming, Lego and Food and Water. I could survive.
This network seems to good to be true! Have you guys got any experience?

Freedom.tm

All I know about Freedom! so far were the drama threads made in relation to it last week.

They offer way below average revenue share base term of merely 60% & they put everyone on their managed CMS which will not play out well in the long run..

Not sure how it's too good to be true, their FAQ specifically says they don't have an ad sales team and that they will just serve the same ads as YouTube, seems like they're taking a cut of your earnings without increasing those earnings

For smaller channels it is quite good. Especially no-lock-in.

Freedom does not have the Channel Roll Up tool enabled. That means that a YouTube Partner Manager have to Transfer your channel manual. That is nothing bad, but it takes 1-2 days longer.
And they don't have a Sales Force. And it could take some more months until they can start their Ad Sales team.
So if you use Adsense atm, you would be making 40% less per month.
In return you get good Support from them. It´s your choice if you want to pay them 40% of your earnings for Support, YTTalk support is free :)
Another advantage would be that you don't need to earn ~100$ to get an Adsense Payout.
And i would say the "No-Lock in" is more a disadvantage. Simply because the Network has to expect that you leave tomorrow. And if they think that every day, they don't invest a lot of work / money in your Channel.
If you have a 2 year Agreement with a Network, the Network knows you stays for the next 2 years guaranteed. Then it´s no problem for them to provide you access to a Studio, or hook you up with other Production help.

Why is it good? They're not getting anything apart from giving away some of the ad revenue they're already earning in return for being able to say they're partnered, which is a fairly meaningless label these days. I'm not sure why anyone is desperate to get partnered unless they are going to see an increase in earnings or are large enough to get dedicated promotion for their channel.

I take your point. I agree. It is quite pointless.
