Freedom Lied To Me!

However, I will make one observation. Your post indicates you cannot monetize content. You need to contact BBTV to ensure that gets resolved. Being unable to monetize content would in fact breach their contract if left for any longer than the usual YouTube processing delays as monetization is a crucial element of every network contract. They can't just leave you without the ability to monetize and yet keep your channel locked to their MCN.
i have absolutely no idea whats going on. i've tried contacting the support line but i get bs responses from tgn or no response at all. :(
and freedom has casted me off like an ugly stepchild.

They do have the CRT, just not the same version most MCNs have.

This requires them to email YouTube support for any channels they need to link that have ever been connected to an Adsense account (so monetization or with a network)
Freedom does not have access to the Channel Roll up Tool

What they did (Thats not possible anymore) is, they massage their YouTube Partner Manager to transfer the Channel into the Freedom CMS.
Its called "Asset transfer".

If you have the Channel Roll up tool enabled, you don't need to message YouTube and you cannot Roll Up channels that are already linked to a different Content Owner.

it is! after talking with one of the guys at freedom, they told me that i should have known this would happen because i was on a "lockin" contract.
it's like they totally changed their tune as soon as this happened. i'm not saying this is totally their fault but you would expect not to be lied to or for someone running things over there to know whats going on.
they told me they could get me out of my lockin contract because it wasn't valid as long as i was downgraded. now my channel is screwed and no one will help me.
It's TGN they have lock in contracts I think, so Freedom couldn't do anything , they have promised a lot of BS in the past but they're getting better :)

Tbh, they shouldn't promise the BS in the first place otherwise channels wouldn't be in this sort of mess. I was laughing how on the Freedom forums they were lying to people saying they could be unlinked from their current network because they were now affiliate channels and they even took it so far as to have an example email of what to send the network. To me that just seemed like they wanted to steal partners by giving them false information about YouTube's current changes.

It's not their partner manager that does it, it's one of the YouTube regional support desks.

If they do not have the CRT they are not an MCN, so hard to believe they don't have a version of it.

Wait... If they're not an MCN, they would be *forced* to put everyone as a managed partner...
Omg... it all makes sense now

If a Company don't has the CRT does not mean they are not a MCN.
A "Multi-Channel-Network" is just a third party company using YouTube Tools (the base of the tools is the YouTube CMS) to build a network of many Channels and gives them a benefit.
Depending on the Needs of a Networks they enable different tools for you.

Thats how it is today.
1 or 2 year ago, yes MCN = CRT. No CRT = no MCN

PS: yes its their Partner Manager doing it. But they are not allowed to make the PM email public. Thats why they used the YouTube SEA support email.
But Asset Transfers are not possible according to my latest update i got from my Partner Manager.[DOUBLEPOST=1391537275,1391537146][/DOUBLEPOST]

Yes, thats the reason why they Partner everyone as Managed Partner
And thats the reason why they is no "road to managed" Affiliate program just yet.

Affiliate Partnerships are only available to Networks with a large number of Channels.
Freedom should be large enough soon.

The problem is, they partner a lot of small channels.

An MCN is defined as a Content Owner with access to the CRT and permissions to roll-up 3rd party channels, according to the docs on the cms ;)

Channel linking to Content Owners not via the CRT is still possible, make sure you have a good partner manager as a few are a bit :alien2: :D[DOUBLEPOST=1391537845][/DOUBLEPOST]

Yes, as a CO without CRT enabled are meant for only O&O channels not 3rd party channels.

Can you Quote the part telling a MCN is a Content Owner with Access to the CRT.
Roll up 3rd party channels is possible without Chanel Roll Up tool.

And yes a Asset Transfer is still possible, but not in the way how freedom others did, partnering hundredths of channels via AT is too time consuming for the Partner Manager.

Sounds like your problem is you're making a joke out of the contracts you sign. Contracts are a legal document. If you signed to be with someone for a year then you signed with them to be a year. Yes other MCN's can try to get you out but it's not guaranteed. This would have happened with anyone who tried to get you out of the contract. Look before you sign and know what you're getting yourself into before you join turd networks like TGN.
