Free Advice/Feedback

This is my most recent.

I know I have to work on my narrating, but then again, english is not my first language.

Any real advice appreciated.

I work with Sony Vegas 13, Audacity and PS CC in case you have any technical advice.

Feel free to check me out :)
I did. I usually only watch gaming videos of games I've already played because people's reactions to games I've played are entertaining because it is like I'm showing the game to them. If it is a game I haven't played, too much of my attention is on the game and the reactions don't have much effect. But I watched your first Batman one since that is closest to a game I've played (Prototype). The game looks good and your commentary was okay. It wasn't annoying at all and I like your voice. But it is an art to be able to come up with witty jokes and that's more what I find entertaining in watching a game I haven't played.

Also, I see your "Believe It" quote in your signature. It kind of makes me cringe because I'm used to the Japanese version and I don't think he ever says that once, but I'm now introducing it to my kids (my son can't read very well) and I'm watching the English dub for the first time and he says it ALL THE TIME.

I have different types of videos. My most popular ones are definitely the type displayed prominently on my main channel page. I doubt you'd find anything to improve on those, but I'd be amazed and super grateful if you somehow did.

Then there are videos from my short Let's Play phase. They are all grouped into playlists. My Ranger-X ones are mainly informative. My DBZ Legends ones try to be more reactionary but I can't help being informative as well. And my Prototype ones are when I tried to make it a scripted mix of jokes and informative. I'm pretty sure there is tons to work on for those.

And now I'm curious to watch some of @Leech's videos because of your review.
I reviewed your Let's Plays because I'm not exactly sure how to review your Horror videos haha.

Let's plays are informative, and that is not something you see often. You explain to the viewer exactly how to do a puzzle or something and that is a definite plus. Your audio quality is great as well and you have a great speaking voice - but like I told Leech, try and project yourself more. You sound a bit monotone and flat and although that can be a few people's cup of tea, most would not enjoy it. This can be done by adding a bit of pizzaz and character to your commentaries. Just be yourself and have fun - that way, it comes naturally.
:)

EDIT: Just watched more of your videos. Your voice is SEXYYYY AFFFFFFF. Use it wisely

Onto @iVariety!

Just getting use to talking out loud and its quite difficult when you have headphones on cause you have to somehow know how to control your voice volume :P Ah well, I'm improving a little bit at a time.

Hey man, thanks for being so courteous! This is my most recent video so thanks for watching! :p
Let's start of with the good/great/fantastic:

I can tell you're a natural speaker and I'm really jealous about that. Your voice naturally has character in it and you don't stutter and you're fast to think (unless you scripted this whole thing, which I doubt you did...I hope anyway). You enunciate everything very well and clearly; and honestly, bad enunciation and speaking skills can really make or break a channel, but it seems like you've mastered speaking very well! (I need to work on that).

Regardless, my only issue is pretty small: background music. There is nothing wrong with it, but make sure you have a happy medium between your voice and the music that is playing. I say turn down the music a bit because it does tend to drown out your voice in a few places and that can slightly ruin the viewing experience. I actually prefer no background music, but I've found that a lot of people actually do, so keep it if your target audience likes it. But, like I said, if you do, I recommend lowering it down. Try to make sure your BGM is also just instrumentals: having vocals in there can get in the way pretty badly.

Also, since your videos are commentary oriented (not in the LP fashion) I'd recommend using titles or text just so it helps with explaining your points. It's not mandatory whatsoever, but it does make your videos look a bit better. Other than that, you're good to go. Sorry this was so long :p

Always love when people are so generous. Here's my latest upload on my acoustic channel. What do you think?

By the way, your video reminded me that I need to play Minish Cap and to finish Wind Waker HD. They're the only Zelda games I haven't finished since Ocarina of Time-era Zelda.

I will be launching a video about potatoes around midnight eastern time. :D You can review my stop motion video of The Things Outside the Box.
Very, very unique video lol. I was not expecting that.

I'm not quite sure what the meaning behind the video is, but I can say, it is different and it is placed in a very tight niche which can be both a blessing and a curse. The pictures are really good and your choice of BGM is one of the best I've seen. Your'e also good at narrating stories. The thing I would say to work on video-wise would be the audio quality, but you probably already knew that.

Channel wise, I would say try not to create a channel full of too many genres because that can cause some confusion. You have some awesome stop-motion films and then you have a video of squirrels and parakeets and then you have the sad potato film. I'm a bit confused as to what genre your channel really is (I'm going to say Film and Animation?). Of course, on YouTube, you can upload anything you want, but if you really want to be successful (10K subs+) I would suggest tying down your videos to 2-3 themes MAX.

I can also see you have very active subscribers. That's amazing man, I'm jealous :P[DOUBLEPOST=1435842414,1435841669][/DOUBLEPOST]
some feedback on this would be nice :) thanks :)
Cool game! What I really loved about the video is that it seems like you are truly enjoying yourself while playing it, and that factor seems to be diminishing in the YouTube community. I can tell you're having fun and obviously, other people can tell as well.

My only recommendation (and do not take this the wrong way at all) is that your commentary is a bit bland and boring. I was a bit hooked in the middle at times when you would slightly rage, but for the most part, what I heard were "Yeah!'s", "REKT", and some grunts and screams here and there. Shake it up a bit. In fact, when you're commentating you do not even need to talk about the game at all - crack a joke, talk about your day, but comment on something. While exclamations are awesome, they shouldn't be the basis of your voice-over. Think of them as the sprinkles on a cupcake. They're great flavor, not needed, but they add something extra to the video, BUT, you gotta make sure the cupcake (or he great commentary) is there first.

Also, it may just be on that video since that was the only I watched. I did comment on your Majoras Mask video and watch 2 minutes of it or so and your commentary was much better there thus far, so I'm gonna go ahead and say it was just that particular video. Regardless, I think it's solid advice you should try :)

Your channel is looking pretty solid. I would recommend at least having 1 social media link (I prefer twitter) just so you can connect with your subscribers and also advertise your videos and your channel a bit more. It helps! Maybe tidy up your channel art a bit and you'll be good to go.

You seem to be doing the right things. Keep chuggin'!!![DOUBLEPOST=1435842511][/DOUBLEPOST]

I will definitely get to your video by tomorrow. And thanks for watching man, that really means a lot considering I have 12 subs <333. Oh, definitely try it out. It's a FANTASTIC game and very underrated by the gaming community. I would recommend finishing Wind Waker HD first...that game is an orgasm.
