facecam? is it needed?

hey guys i was wondering that a lot of youtubers these days have face cam. i was wondering if that helps you grow or do people with facecams get more audience. and also if it is needed to be popular

Its not needed. Its just a human to human thing. People like facecams because they can see the persons reactions it can also make things seem funnier and its just generally good to see whos behind the screen.

I choose not to use it, but I don't mind sometimes when other users have them. For me, I'm more comofrtable not having to worry about what my face is doing... I save that for the videos where I'm actually talking to the camera!

Enjoyed by vast community? Yes, if the person behind the cam ads an additional level of engagement.

The whole reasoning behind the facecam is just adding another "thing" or entertaining part of a video to the mix. It just boils down to whether you think you doing that will add that extra layer.

Take a look at the two biggest gamers on YouTube, Pewdiepie and Vanoss. One has a face cam and one does not. It boils down to personal preference.

It mostly is just to make people a tad tad tad tad tad bit interested, not usually necessary though.

I think it's fun for horror games, but I actually prefer if the youtuber I'm watching doesn't have one! Makes it easier to focus on the game (I myself don't have one but that's just because I'm a nervous mess :x)

I honestly think facecam can help you. A lot of viewers enjoy the human to human, adding more interaction. You don't need to talk constantly as viewers will still have that connection to you. But that's just what I've noticed.
